Estimated Time of Cruise 14 days.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Board the ship at 7.30 am and you will be escorted to your room. We will set sail to Suva, Fiji at 2.00pm. You will then enjoy your time on the O’Brien Cruise to The South Pacific Ocean.
Day 2:
Travelling to Suva, Fiji.
Day 3:
We will reach Suva, Fiji in afternoon. We will escort everyone on a bus to a special restaurant in Suva called “The Big Machete” with entertainment while eating the exquisite meals that they serve. After a Fijian cultural show we will escort everyone back to the ship by bus.
Day 4:
At 10.00am the South Pacific Cruise will then transport everyone onto a bus where we will go to The Fiji Shark Dive at Shark Reef Marine Reserve. It is observe up to 8 different shark species on a single dive. The waters of Beqa Lagoon are famous for their colourful soft corals, enjoy the diving and snorkeling and only a short 15mins boat ride away. Reef lovers can explore the nearby waters of Beqa Lagoon which has been named the Soft Coral Capital of the world. You can dry off with the provided towels and enjoy a snack and refreshment between dives. If you are not a diver; not a problem. One of the experienced Instructors will be happy to introduce you to the wonderful world of diving. It will then finish at 12.00pm. We are then provided lunch at The Fiji Shark Dive where we will have a break.
We will leave at 12.45pm where we will then go to the MV SeaView which is a 'seaquarium' and is the first of its kind in Fiji. Guests board the vessel will be able to view the beautiful underwater marine life and reefs of the Mamanuca Island in Fiji. You get to see crystal clear views of fish and a live reef under the water without having to wear a mask, scuba equipment or getting wet! We will then have an afternoon snack provided at the place. The buses will leave at 3.30pm where we will head back to the ship.
You will be able to refresh yourself up before we go out to the Fijian Cultural Centre where we will be able to observe all the traditional dances and the traditional food of the Culture. We will then head back to the ship and will be back by 9.00 pm.
Day 5:
We will have a bus ride that goes to Qamea Island at 9.00am. Qamea is a tropical paradise of adventure and beauty. While you may ultimately decide to lounge the day away on the beach or by our free form rock swimming pool nestled in the jungle. If it is activities and adventure you seek, the staff will make sure you are as busy as you want to be. You will spend the day on the Island of Qamea with provided food. Qamea has many activities like Kayaking, snorkeling, Fijian cooking lessons, Scuba diving, surfing lessons, Bush Walks, tours around the island and so much more. Qamea Team will provide the food for the day including snacks, lunch and drinks.
At 5.00pm the buses will arrive and will drive to the cruise. (20mins)you can then freshen up and get ready for dinner on the cruise.
Day 6:
Today the O’Brien Cruise Team will them give you a pamphlet on what you can do in Fiji for the last day. Here is some information on what you can do:
· Activities In Fiji:
Fiji is famous for the variety of activities available. These include snorkeling over shallow reefs close to shore, diving, which offers a full range of an underwater experience, riding in a jet boat, trekking in the tropical rainforests, swimming in the crystal clear waters of a rushing river, or you can even visit a sacred cave? How about a full day or half day shopping tour of Suva? So take a day snorkeling, or taking a bushwalk through some of the tropical Rainforests.

Whether your interest is big game fishing or recreational, the waters of Fiji promise a thrill. Pristine waters, great all year round conditions, endless options and abundant catches have established the Fijian Islands as one of the most productive fishing grounds in the South Pacific.

Whether shopping or just browsing, here's your opportunity to become acquainted with some of the savviest Fijians as well the best barterers around. In Fiji, you'll discover unique cultural and historical artifacts, stylish international boutique fashions as well as budget gift and souvenir shops. Most stores are open 8am to 5pm or 6pm, sometimes later at hotels and resorts. Most stores are closed on Sundays.
· Dining Fiji
Everyone will be expected to be back on the boat at 8.00pm. We will then set sail for Apia, Samoa in the Night.
Day 7:
Travelling to Apia, Samoa
We will reach Apia, Samoa at 3.00pm. The O’Brien Cruises will then provide buses to escort people to the Samoan Shopping Centre. We will be back on the boat by 5.30pm.
Day 8:
We will depart from the buses at 10.00am. We will then drive to watch the Fiafia Shows were we will have lunch. Fiafa Shows is a performance of traditional Samoan singing and dancing, including the famous fire-knife dance. We will leave the Fiafa Shows at 2.00pm. We will then go into the village of Apia and go to an Samoan Culture Centre where you get to learn how to:
· Make Samoan Jewelry
· Learn to play an instrument that Samoans use
· Learn how to do traditional Samoan dances
· Learn about the Samoan Culture
· Taste different Samoan Food.
We will then have dinner at the Samoan Culture Centre with live performances. We will then go back on the buses and will be back at the ship by 8.30pm.
Day 9:
The O’Brien Cruises will them give you a pamphlet on what you can do in Apia, Samoa for your last day:
· Diving & Snorkeling -The waters around Samoa are crystal clear providing ideal visibility for diving and snorkeling. This marine paradise is blessed with over 900 fish species and more than 200 varieties of stunning coral.
· Explore the Beaches - Soak up the sun or relax in a deck chair. Beautiful swimming beaches stretch along the south coast of Apia.
· Kayaking - Samoa's coastline is ideal for kayaking as it is ringed with fringing reefs. Several adventure companies provide tours around the main islands and uninhabited offshore islands.
· Surfing - Surfing is for experienced surfers only and is best at high tide. The waves break directly on coral reefs and currents are often extremely strong. So if you’re up for a challenge then have a go.
· Waterfalls & Conservation Areas - Travel through lush, rainforest-covered mountains and traditional Samoan villages to see spectacular waterfalls, blowholes, national parks and conservation areas.
· Watersports - Samoa has numerous beaches, bays and lagoons which are ideal for a host of watersports including swimming, sailing, windsurfing, big game fishing and yacht charters.
· Other Activities
Other activities include hiking, golf, tennis, squash and cycling around Apia.
Everyone MUST be back on the bus by 7.30pm. We will then set sail to Port Vila, Vanuatu.
Day 10:
The O’Brien Cruises will then have buses take you to our next location. We will take a tour call the “Sandy Beach Tour”:
The tour goes to Pele Island. The small island is filled with reefs and white sandy beaches offering fantastic swimming and snorkeling at the colourful reefs. Villagers will welcome you with refreshment drink and give you chance to see how a modern village operates
and also the lifestyle and culture of Vanuatu. After some snorkeling and fish feeding, a barbecue on the beach, delicious fresh tropical fruits and nuts, all accompanied by locals singing and strumming guitars. What a tour!!!! The tour buses will then escort you back to The O’Brien Cruise at 8.00pm.
Day 11:
The O’Brien Cruises will then have another cruise called the “Native Round Island Tour”. Buses will arrive at 10.00am for this tour. The Native Round Island Tour:
Native Round Island Tour lets you find out more about the history and living style of Vanuatu. The Native Round Island Tour stops around the island of Samoa including the Blue Lagoon, Eton Beach, Taka Custom Village, a WWII Airstrip, hot water springs, coconut plantations and much more.
The tour also advised that you bring your camera. The tour will provide food for the day including dinner. The tour buses will then escort you back to the ship at 8.30pm.
Day 12:
The O’Brien Cruises are offering two cruises for you to pick from: One of them is called “Big Blue Vanuatu” and the other “Esum Multi-Cultural Village Tour”. Buses will arrive for both tours at 10.00pm.
The Big Blue Vanuatu Tour:
The Big Blue Vanuatu Tour is located on the seawall in Port Vila, Vanuatu's capital city.

You will have the opportunity to walk along a beautiful botanical garden through big Banyan trees before you receive a traditional customary welcome by the Village Chief. This is a life time experience for you and your family to discover Vanuatu's rich and diverse culture in one spot. The friendly Guide will take you back in time and show you how our ancestors used spider web for fishing, build hunting traps, preservation of our local food, see different customs, dances, and witness sand drawings and a black magic demonstrations.
You will end the tour with tropical fruits for refreshment while our school pikininis will entertain you with lovely singing.
Both Tours will be back at the ship by 9.00pm. The Ship will then start its travel back to Cairns.

We will reach Cairns at midday where we will end our Cruise and that we hope you enjoyed your time on our Cruise.
